Meet vaQgrip Click: the first modular vacuum gripper system
July 2, 2025
Introducing a new chapter in vacuum EOAT
Vacuum end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) hasn’t changed much in decades. While robots have become faster, smarter, and easier to program, vacuum grippers still rely on outdated designs: custom plates, messy tubing, and time-intensive assembly processes. Integrators and manufacturers know the routine: design, build, rework, repeat.
At Impaqt Robotics, we believed it was time for something better.
vaQgrip Click is a next-generation vacuum EOAT system that replaces this old way of working with a clean, modular, and reconfigurable platform. It’s built on standardized components and sealed internal vacuum routing, making it easy to deploy, adapt, and scale.
Whether you’re handling pick-and-place tasks, case packing, or palletizing, vaQgrip Click gives you a new way to think about vacuum tooling: as a platform, not a prototype.
Why a modular vacuum gripper system?
Traditional vacuum EOAT is fundamentally inflexible. Every time a product changes, a robot is redeployed, or a layout is updated, the vacuum gripper often has to be redesigned from scratch. That means ordering new components, routing new tubing, remounting fittings, and verifying the setup all over again. The cycle introduces friction at every stage of deployment and creates long-term maintenance headaches.
What’s worse, these systems are hard to replicate across production lines or locations. Even in companies with multiple robotic cells doing similar work, vacuum EOAT is often built differently in each setup, leading to inconsistent performance, more spare parts, and greater support requirements.
vaQgrip Click was designed to eliminate these inefficiencies. Instead of building from scratch each time, it allows you to build once and then adapt, scale, or reconfigure as needed. The same parts can be reused across applications, and internal vacuum routing means no more external tubing to tangle, fail, or interfere with robot motion.
This approach helps teams deploy faster, support operations more easily, and reduce the engineering burden that so often accompanies vacuum tooling.
A closer look at how vaQgrip Click works
At the heart of vaQgrip Click is a modular architecture built from standardized components. Each element is designed for tool-free assembly, internal vacuum sealing, and reuse across multiple applications. Together, they form a flexible EOAT system that adapts easily to new layouts, products, or processes without needing redesign.
The main components include:
- Dock – The anchor point of the system, mounted directly to the robot flange. Docks are available with onboard vacuum generation or external vacuum supply, and some include built-in I/O for plug-and-play robot integration.
- Pod – The vacuum interface where cups are mounted. Pods come in various layouts such as single-cup, 2×2, or 2×3, and support standard vacuum cups used across industries.
- Offset – Used to reposition Pods along the X, Y, or Z axis to accommodate reach, angles, or bin depth. This allows for layout flexibility without custom brackets.
- Hub – Enables vacuum distribution to multiple Pods, supporting multi-zone gripping or larger payloads. In these setups, external tubing may be used between Pods and the Hub.
- Reducer – Connects different frame sizes within the system (typically Frame 80 to Frame 65), allowing users to balance strength, size, and reach depending on the application.
- Twist-to-Connect Coupling – A patented locking mechanism that seals internal vacuum paths while securing components in place. Assembly is fast, sealed, and tool-free.

This standardized structure eliminates the complexity of custom EOAT builds while enabling tailored layouts that can be deployed in minutes. It’s a clean, serviceable, and scalable alternative to traditional vacuum grippers designed to grow with your operations.
What sets vaQgrip Click apart
vaQgrip Click isn’t just about making vacuum EOAT modular. It’s about changing how we approach automation tooling altogether. In most automation projects, EOAT is still treated as a custom job. Even when applications are similar, system integrators often design new grippers every time, resulting in duplicated work and delayed timelines.
With vaQgrip Click, vacuum EOAT becomes a platform, not a project. Integrators can use a repeatable design across multiple cells or customers. OEMs can standardize EOAT across machines, knowing it will be easy to service and support in the field. End users can make small changes like swap cups, adjust reach, or reroute vacuum, without waiting for engineering or redesigns.
This shift from “engineer-to-order” to “configure-to-order” allows everyone in the automation chain to work more efficiently. It removes friction, improves uptime, and makes vacuum tooling as scalable as the robots it supports.
Built to simplify every phase of automation
The real power of vaQgrip Click lies in how it improves the entire lifecycle of an automation cell.
During design, engineering teams no longer need to model new plates or route complex vacuum tubing. They can choose from predefined layouts, configure offsets and pods to suit the task, and use existing CAD blocks to streamline the process.
During deployment, assembly takes minutes, not hours. No fittings, no sealing tape, no last-minute modifications. Everything fits and locks into place, even for first-time users.
During operation, the clean design and internal routing reduce the risk of vacuum leaks, cable snags, and wear-related failures. The system is easy to inspect and service, minimizing downtime.
And during scaling, whether adding more robots or duplicating a successful cell at another site, teams can rely on the same components, the same configurations, and the same best practices, eliminating costly variability.
This kind of consistency is rare in vacuum tooling. vaQgrip Click makes it standard.
Designed for the real world
In real production environments, things change fast. Products evolve. Line layouts shift. Robots are redeployed. What worked a year ago might not fit today’s needs.
That’s why vaQgrip Click was built to adapt. If a robot needs to pick from a deeper bin, you can add an offset, no redesign needed. If a customer changes packaging dimensions, swap in a different pod. If an arm needs to switch between small and large cartons, use a hub to enable a dual-zone setup.
It’s not just a smarter gripper, it’s a smarter way of working.
A new standard for vacuum EOAT

Industries like logistics, packaging, food and beverage, and consumer goods are scaling automation at an unprecedented pace. And yet, vacuum tooling is often the slowest part of deployment. Complex tubing, customized fittings, and one-off builds add delays and cost, right when manufacturers need agility most.
vaQgrip Click was developed to remove those delays. It gives automation teams a repeatable, scalable, and serviceable platform, one that reduces engineering work, simplifies integration, and supports long-term flexibility.
If your team is tired of designing EOAT from scratch or struggling with inconsistent setups, this system is for you. It’s vacuum EOAT that finally works at the speed of modern automation.
